Chapter 1736
The spacious meeting room went quiet.
“Who is Aiden Sager?” the leading officer asked.
Other than Sherry, everyone else in the meeting room was shocked.
Aiden was still caught in his excitement from agitating Carl and had not recovered from it, hence he was stunned when the officers came in.
Ron was the first to react to the situation. He asked, “Officer, why are you looking for Aiden. Sager?” The officer ignored him. He demanded once more, “Who is Aiden Sager?”
“It's him! That's Aiden Sager!” Sherry pointed at Aiden who was sitting beside Ron.
The officers turned in that direction and spotted him right away.
The leading officer nodded at Sherry before he headed over to Aiden’s spot. One of the officers dragged Aiden up from the seat and the other one handcuffed him on the spot.
The spacious meeting room remained silent, but everyone’s eyes widened out of shock. What was happening?
Why would police officers barge into the meeting room to arrest Aiden?
Only Carl sneaked a glance at Sherry.
Ron and Caden bolted up.
Ron asked, “Officers, why are you arresting him?”
“Yeah! Why are you arresting me? What did | do?” Aiden shouted unwillingly.
The leading officer glanced at Sherry before he said to all the participants in the meeting room, Mr. Aiden Sager is suspected of attempted hired murder. We already have key evidence to prove his crime, so we are bringing him in.“
Aiden was stunned, and so were Ron and Caden.
The father and sons trio then tacitly looked at Sherry.
Sherry curled her lips at Aiden, who still could not believe he was being arrested. She said, “Aiden, | didn’t expect you to be the one who hired those thugs to beat me up.”
Aiden’s expression turned grim. He wanted to shout at Sherry, but he was being held by several officers from the back. With gritted teeth, he glared at Sherry unwillingly.
Sherry got up from her seat. “Thank you, officers.”
“It's our duty. We will update you about the progress,” the leading officer said politely “Thank you.”
The officers then brought Aiden out of the meeting room.
Caden, who was Aiden’s best follower cum brother, followed him out nervously.
The meeting room once again plunged into silence and fear. Everyone else was still recovering from what just happened.
Only Ron stared at Sherry grimly, wishing that he could dismember Sherry into a million pieces.
“Mr. Wright, why are you looking at me like that? | didn’t instigate your son to hire men and beat me up.” Sherry said with a smile. Both Aiden and Ron had it coming.
Ron scoffed. “Sherry, you are the one behind this, aren’t you?”
Aiden had used similar methods in the past to deal with people who offended him, but the police never gave him trouble. Now, not only did the police officers arrest him, but they did so in front of all the department managers and executives of the company!
The coincidence was uncanny!
Sherry smiled. “Mr. Wright, you think too highly of me. I’m not that capable.”

Chapter 1737 Carl bolted up and slammed the chair that he did not throw earlier on the table.

Even though Sherry was not severely injured, Aiden would have to stay at the station for some time. Committing a crime was not a small matter, even more so when the target of the crime was Sherry, someone who worked for the company.

Once again, the meeting room returned to silence.
Carl pulled the chair down from the table and said to the rest of the participants, “That’s all for this meeting. You guys can go back to work.”
Everyone else left as fast as they could.
Carl then looked at Sherry with curved eyes. His handsome face showed nothing but praise at Sherry for setting this up. He was deeply impressed.

“Last night, when he saved me, his men apprehended those thugs...”
Sherry then told Carl about how the thugs were released and how John had lodged a report for her. He also predicted that the police would arrest Aiden at the company during the meeting
Carl went silent for a few seconds. He then chuckled and said, “How could he be so sure that the police will arrest the thugs and then Aiden during the meeting?”
Sherry had no idea how John did it, but the police did arrest Aiden in front of everyone, and John’s prediction came true. A quick thought later, she said, “Maybe because of his experience in dealing with matters like this.” Carl blankly curled his lips. “Maybe”
It was not experience John’s men had probably tailed the thugs after they were released, hence the police were able to arrest the thugs, and then the mastermind, Aiden.

Sherry knew the girl was tired. She turned the tablet off and carried the girl onto her lap. She cleared her throat, signaling to the man further away

After a dreamless night, Sherry woke up with Caprice and helped the girl clean up. They walked out of the room and saw John outside.

Sherry was forced to a swift retreat as Anne was pressing forward She accidentally tripped on her injured leg and lost her balance, causing her to fall backward.
