Rhea stared at him sideways for a moment before smiling. “Why else would I do that? Since he’s timid and cautious, he would worry about spreading the virus.

“He knows how contagious the viruses in the lab were and how severe the consequences would be. Therefore, he’d naturally look for your help,” After a pause, Rhea continued, “However, I was curious whether you’d help him first or look for Cameron first.”

She clapped and added, “Oh, I forgot you have helpers. You can always get help, considering how rich and powerful you are. Still, I’m surprised you personally came to rescue Cameron.”

After a brief thought, Alexander asked, “So? Is that corpse contagious?”

“No, no, no,” Rhea said, shaking her head, “I have no idea about that.”

Alexander knitted his brows and looked at her in puzzlement.

Rhea continued, “I only run the research. The outcomes, subsequent developments, and so on are often beyond my control. Also, there’s insufficient time, and the research isn’t mature yet. So, I have no idea whether it has the potential for contagion.”

“You…” Alexander did not expect her to be able to say such a thing so indifferently. He knew Rhea had a screw loose but did not expect her to be this crazy.

‘She doesn’t care about human life or what harm her actions can cause our society and the world.’

“I’m speaking the truth, but people often don’t like hearing it.” She shrugged indifferently. “If I knew, that nut job wouldn’t have died so soon, especially since he wasn’t in the last phase yet.”

The phenomenon bewildered Rhea, but she had no time to study it now. She planned to research it further when she could later on.

“You studying medicine and researching is an absolute disaster for all humankind!” Alexander expressed his intense disgust as he stared at her coldly. He seldom disliked anyone so much.

‘How can she casually utter such vile words and commit malicious acts yet show no remorse? Is there not the slightest bit of kindness in her?’

Alexander took a deep breath and suppressed his anger. “Did you wait for me because you’re confident I’ll work with you, or did you think you could stop me? Or perhaps you want to kidnap me as well?”

“Why should I kidnap you? That won’t do me any good.” Rhea chuckled and took two steps forward, saying, “Don’t you get it? You’re a businessman. You should know we have similar interests.

“You know what the organization is capable of, but do you know R10’s final step? They’ll use Lily as a vessel to enhance the virus and perfect it for their real target. They probably chose her because she had been exposed to various herbs.

“Furthermore, isn’t she some kind of a fighter? She’s also strong enough to handle the virus. R10’s potency is too powerful. One wouldn’t be able to withstand it without a solid body.” Rhea shook her head.

She added, “Honestly, I would like to try it if possible.”

A glimmer of anticipation sparkled in her eyes—she was not joking and genuinely wanted to volunteer. It made Alexander feel even more convinced that she was a psycho.

Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2042-“You’ll find out when you cooperate with me. After all, Cameron is the best bargaining chip for our contact with the organization,” Rhea replied mysteriously, with a sly smile.

"Why would Cameron be the best bargaining chip for your negotiation with the organization?" Alexander quickly caught on to her words and pressed further. "What do you want to use him for, or does the organization need him for something?"

"You don't need to pry regarding that," Rhea swiftly changed the topic, "You'll find out soon enough. I need some leverage, too, don't you think?"

Alexander took a step closer. He looked down at her and questioned again, "Are you refusing to tell me where Cameron is?"

Rhea grew impatient with his constant questioning and said, “I already told you. You’ll find out when the time—”

Alexander grabbed her by the throat before she could finish. His movements were swift, and she could not react in time. Alexander lifted her by her neck in the next second, and she struggled to breathe.

“Do you still refuse to tell me?!”

Rhea initially panicked but calmed down a few seconds later and stopped struggling. She said smilingly, “Otherwise, y-you can choke m-me to death, r-right?”

Her smile carried an indifferent provocation. She refused to give in, even though her face turned blue from lack of oxygen. “If I die, C-Cameron’s whereabouts will d-die with me, and Lily will soon b-become a sacrifice for R10. Hehe…”

Edward, standing on the sidelines, was speechless.

‘This woman is insane! Shouldn’t she be begging for mercy in this situation? Yet, she repeatedly provokes Alex as if she’s unafraid of him strangling her to death.’

"You’ll die, but not yet!" Alexander looked at her coldly and then threw her to the ground with a violent swing.

The impact was strong, and Rhea landed heavily on the ground, wincing in pain.

"Take her away!" He coldly ordered.

Rhea was not as composed as she appeared on the surface. Instead, she felt somewhat bewildered. After all, she never expected Alexander to ignore her threats entirely.

Rhea used to be so confident and could always find weaknesses in others to make them comply.

‘That’s how they would usually give in, right? Is this man not as soft as he appears on the surface? Is he a selfish person instead?’

“You…” Rhea massaged her throat and coughed. “Do you honestly not care about the life or death of your wife? What about Cameron? Do you think I’m bluffing? Even if you don’t care about them, what about your son?”

Alexander furrowed his brows when she mentioned his son. “What do you mean?”

Rhea grew excited when she finally received a reaction from him. “Does your son currently have a fever, feel uncomfortable, and occasionally have seizures? Does he occasionally cough and tremble in pain?”

The symptoms she described were not present in Galen but in Dominic.

“Was the virus Austin carried related to you?” Alexander immediately connected the dots.

Rhea smirked proudly. “You’re right. I did that! I also researched and developed the virus they carry, so if you want the antidote and your son to get better, you have to listen to me! Otherwise, I’ll take them all down with me if I die!”

Aside from everything else, he had witnessed the virus in Austin and had been staying at Domonic’s estate. He had also witnessed Dominic and his servants' pain during their infection.

‘What about Austin’s family and those he had come in contact with? Even those with mild symptoms suffered greatly. Also, the long-term effects are unknown. Now, even Anastasia has gotten infected.’

Alexander did not know how many more people the virus had infected. Still, he was not worried about his son, at least for now.

‘Galen seemed fine, but what about the others?’

Rhea triumphantly smirked when she saw his hesitation. She knew she had found his weakness and that he finally had something to fear.

Alexander grabbed her collar and asked sternly, “What’s the antidote, and how does the virus transmit? What are the means of transmission?"

After all, he had to understand the virus to find a solution.

“Hehehe…” Rhea laughed and tilted her head backward in amusement. “Aren’t you supposed to be clever? Why don’t you know the answer? If you don’t, why aren’t you asking your wife? Isn’t she the best? Even she can’t solve this little trick, huh?

“As I said, I’m not inferior to Lily. I just haven’t had a chance to shine and show the world and the organization what I can really do!” She felt deeply dissatisfied until now.

Rhea felt suppressed since Lily appeared in her world. The latter had continuously extinguished Rhea’s spirit. Rhea's many praises over the years suddenly disappeared, leaving her feeling worthless.

She wondered how those things happened and was in denial.

‘Even Lily can’t solve the virus I developed. That means I’m still better than her. I have the upper hand!’

Alexander could not be bothered by Rhea’s inexplicable desire for victory. He only wanted to know the solution to the virus. “If you don’t explain it in detail now, I’ll infect you with the virus so you can experience it firsthand! Perhaps then, you’ll remember what the antidote is!"

His eyes revealed a sense of danger. He might be carrying the virus. Otherwise, he would not have transmitted it to Anastasia.

‘Will Rhea willingly give me the antidote if I infect her?’

With that thought in mind, Alexander felt it was a good plan. Still, he could not figure out how one would transmit the virus.

He looked at his hands and body, recalling that he did not have much contact with Anastasia then. He wondered if it could be transmitted through air, like breathing.

However, Rhea showed no fear when faced with his threats. Instead, she smirked, saying, “It doesn’t matter to me. I know my inventions best. I’m curious about whether you know how to infect others. Do you know how this virus transmits and how it infects people?"

She had stumped Alexander with her questions, and the latter genuinely did not know the answer to them.

He could not help but get angry when he looked at her arrogant and triumphant expression.

"Mr. Russell, do you think I'm afraid of death? If I die, I’ll bring many people to the grave. It’ll all be worth it!” Rhea grinned, looking satisfied with herself.

"You—" Alexander was infuriated but could do nothing to her. At this moment, he finally understood what Mike meant when he said this woman was crazy.

‘She’s not just crazy; she’s the epitome of madness! She fears no threat, no torture.’

He realized he could not do anything to her at the moment.

"Why don't you consider cooperating with me? The world is progressing and constantly changing. When did people ever imagine airplanes, cannons, or rockets? Now robots can even replace humans.

“Is anything impossible?" Rhea dismissed his disbelief. "Perhaps you think I'm making baseless claims, but I see further than you do.

“Humans must evolve. It's a battle of strength. I'm helping the world eliminate weaker people. Society has always been about survival of the fittest. By eliminating those who can't adapt, only the best will remain. Isn't that better?"

"Your twisted logic is truly enlightening. It opens my eyes." Alexander sneered, contemplating how to make her tell the truth.

"It's not twisted logic—it's the truth! Most don’t acknowledge the truth until it’s too late. You’ll come to realize that!" Rhea knew she was right. She raised her eyebrows and looked at him.

"So, how about it? You know how powerful I am. If you cooperate with me, all those people, including your son, can be relieved of their pain. Are you willing to let go of saving your son? Wouldn't that make you just like me?"

She trapped Alexander in a dilemma with just a few words. He would appear as heartless as her if he refused to cooperate. However, it was a false proposition that did not fool Alexander. Rejecting her did not mean he was similar to her.

"You're delusional!" He said sternly. "The world will continue to turn even without you!"

"Why don't you try it then? Don't blame me for not warning you. Over time, if your son doesn't die, he might become disabled. Don't underestimate our virus’s aftereffects and influence!" Rhea shook her head as if Alexander was being utterly ignorant.

Alexander narrowed his eyes, and the two of them remained deadlocked. Rhea showed no signs of backing down, confidently looking up at him.

She was gambling, betting Alexander would eventually compromise. After all, he and Lily cared so much about other people's lives, eager to save them. Now, the only hope rested with Rhea.

She was confident no one could solve the virus she had researched and developed.

Suddenly, Alexander's phone rang, vigorously vibrating in his pocket. It only vibrated since he had silenced it. Nonetheless, he looked at Rhea deeply and took out his phone. It was a call from Dominic’s number, so he immediately answered, “Austin?”

However, Alexander froze as the phone call began. A familiar, somewhat weathered voice came through the phone, saying, "What did you just say? You rotten brat, don't you know your place?"

Alexander was shocked when he heard that voice. He could not believe it was Dominic, and from the sound of it, he seemed to be in high spirits.

"Old…old man?" Alexander asked incredulously, afraid he had misheard.

"Just call me sir, no need to remind me that I’m old! I have a question for you. What the h*ll are you doing?! Have you given up on your son?" Dominic's usual criticizing tone came through.

Although Alexander could not see him, he felt reassured that the older man was okay by listening to his voice.

"Have you finally recovered? Do you feel okay?" Alexander asked in a hushed voice.

"What do you think? I've seen it all. This little virus can't bring me down!" Dominic's voice was full of confidence, completely forgetting the fatigue and pain he had experienced a few days ago.

Alexander was genuinely happy to hear the older man’s voice, knowing he had recovered fully.

"You've really recovered, old man! That's great! Have you found a solution to that virus?" Alexander suppressed his inner joy and pressed for answers. He believed they must have found a solution. Otherwise, Dominic would not have recovered.

Before he received an answer, Rhea immediately denied it, "That's impossible! There's no way they could’ve found a cure for my virus. Don't think the temporary suppression means they've eliminated it. That's impossible!"

She was in disbelief.

‘If they’ve truly overcome the virus, that would mean I failed, right? No, it can’t be! The virus in Austin resulted from my years of research. It’s different from the previous experiments. I’ve devoted much of my time studying this.

‘I only used the ultimate end product on Austin and Cameron. Cameron almost lost control—I’ve witnessed his attacks and sufferings. I know the consequences of his spread.

‘Now they won’t need me anymore since they’ve solved the virus themselves. How can that be possible?!’

Alexander ignored Rhea and gestured with his hand behind him. Edward understood the signal and quickly fetched some duct tape to cover her mouth and silence her.

Now Rhea could only mumble.

"Old man, have you really found a solution? Have you overcome the virus?" Alexander continued to inquire.

However, Dominic seemed to sense something amiss and paused before asking, "Wait a minute. Whose voice was that on your end? It sounded like a woman. You're not fooling around with someone behind my apprentice's back, are you?"

Alexander could not help but laugh. "No, I'm dealing with something here. Old man, please answer me. Have you found a solution to this virus? Not just for you, but for everyone else?"

Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2046-"Yes, yes!" Dominic impatiently replied before adding, "What do you take me for? Don't forget—I’m a miracle doctor! If I can't solve this problem, won't it tarnish the reputation I've built over the years?"

Alexander breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the affirmative response. He believed in Dominic.

Dominic had been hanging on by a thread previously. He was frail and in and out of consciousness. Alexander was genuinely worried because of the uncertainties surrounding the symbiote virus.

However, he became confident the older man and Austin had found a solution and no longer needed to hesitate.

“Okay, I understand. I have some matters to tend to, so I won't—”

Before Alexander could finish, Dominic interjected, “What do you understand? I’m asking you what you and Lily are up to. When will you come here?”

After some thought, Alexander replied, “Not anytime soon.”

“Ah, forget you. Lily has been missing for so many days. What’s happening?” Dominic had not had the time to consider anything since being in and out of consciousness and being in a poor mental state for a while.

Now that he had been relieved of the virus and his health had gradually improved, he realized it had been long since he had heard any news about Lily. In addition, she was close to giving birth. Her disappearance was concerning.

“She…” Alexander closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and said, “In any case, I’ll ensure she returns safely.”

“It’s not about that, and it’s not about me either. It’s for yourself, for your son!” Dominic said sincerely, “All right, I called you to tell you not to worry about our side. Finish what you have and return to take the little brat away!”

“I don’t want to leave! I don’t want to!” Galen finally spoke and clutched the older man’s beard.

Alexander was ecstatic to hear his son’s voice, but it was not the right time for idle chatter. “You must listen to Grandpa, okay? Mommy and Daddy will finish work soon, and we’ll come to pick you up.”

Dominic added, “Okay, enough talk. If you’re planning on picking him up, come quickly! Also, the virus’s transmission is likely random and not deterministic. Still, it most probably spreads more frequently through constant contact.”

His words puzzled Alexander. “But I have a friend who wasn’t in frequent contact with me, yet she still got infected.”

“Let me finish, will you? It’s not just frequent contact—another condition is a weakened immune system. People who are particularly tired or sick are more susceptible to the virus. The virus takes advantage of one’s vulnerability.

“The virus doesn’t cause direct death but weakens the body when it flares up. The attacks are more frequent at night than during the day. Still, you don’t need to worry about the details. I’ve already contacted the industry and had Austin spread the word.

“We’re looking for infected individuals and help detoxify them.”

Alexander finally let go of his worries when he heard that. Dominic had done him a great favor.

Not only had the older man’s health improved, but he had also resolved Alexander’s future concerns.

Alexander had been worried about Dominic and Austin’s situation, but he could now focus on the current situation without distractions or hesitations. He nodded, saying, “Okay, understood. Please watch your health, old man!”

His lips involuntarily curled into a smile when he said that, and his mood lightened.

Rhea widened her eyes and struggled desperately. However, Edward had taped her mouth shut and restrained her. Ultimately, she could not speak and could only futilely struggle and wriggle.

They were about to leave the garage when someone suddenly appeared from outside with a knife and charged toward Edward. But the person’s actions and speed were child’s play for Edward.

He leaned to one side to avoid the attack and followed up with a kick, resulting in a loud, painful cry.

"Mrs. Moore?!" Edward immediately recognized the woman upon closer inspection.

Alexander also looked closely and realized it was indeed Maria.

The kitchen knife had fallen to the side as Edward had knocked her down.

Maria furrowed her brows and held her chest, exclaiming, “You… Let go of Rhee!”

“Mrs. Moore, it seems you knew your daughter wasn’t dead all along.” Alexander looked at Maria, his voice cold and indifferent.

Maria immediately fell silent. She had kept this secret, not even telling her husband. However, the secret was exposed. Even if she did not admit it, it would be pointless now that Rhea was in front of her.

“Yes, I knew about it long ago. So what?! It’s none of your business!” Maria retorted defiantly, her neck stiff. "Release my daughter now, or I'll call for help!"

Alexander smiled indifferently. "Go ahead, let everyone know your daughter faked her death. Then the police can see for themselves if it's really her!"

Those few words choked back Maria’s cries. She opened her mouth but could not utter a word. She was stunned.

Rhea was confirmed dead, and Maria even arranged the funeral. If the truth came out now and others learned about it, it would expose that Rhea had faked her death.

Then Maria considered the lives her daughter had taken and the incident with the Fike family. A chill ran down Maria’s spine immediately after.

"Release her, I beg you. I'll do anything you ask! I'll give you all my family's money! Y-You wanted the business, right? I know you. You're La Beaute Group’s president. I'll give you the vaccine business, all of it.

“Please, I'm begging you to return my daughter to me!" She cried and pleaded with tears and snot streaming down her face.

Alexander looked at Maria’s desperate appearance and listened to her words. He knew she did not know anything.

‘She thinks we’re after her money and business. How naive.’

"Do you even know what the vaccine business is about?" Alexander asked coldly, sneering.

His question stunned the crying Maria. She blinked and pondered before saying, “Isn’t it for the pandemic? It’s over now, and the vaccine isn’t making much money. I’ve said before that this business shouldn’t continue, but you…”

“Hmph…” Alexander shook his head and walked forward.

Maria noticed Edward about to take her daughter away and suddenly rushed forward. She opened her mouth to bite Edward’s arm, but the latter raised his hand. He bumped his elbow into her and swiftly struck her down with his hand.

Maria’s eyes rolled back, and she collapsed to the ground.

Alexander heard the commotion and turned to glance at the situation.

Edward immediately said, “She’s just unconscious. It saves us some trouble.”

Mike had been standing in a small grove for quite some time and was getting impatient. He still had not seen even a sign of Alexander.

He was anxious about the disgusting, foul-smelling corpse lying before him, even though he had already stuffed it in a sack. He could still smell the putrid and vile odor seeping through the fabric.

He never imagined his entire life devoted to the fragrance industry to lead him to such a task. As he grew increasingly impatient and considered calling Alexander again, he noticed headlights approaching from a distance.

Mike squinted and instinctively thought it must be Alexander. The former’s furrowed brows finally relaxed as he waved toward the oncoming vehicle.

However, he sensed something was off as the car approached.

‘That doesn’t feel right! It’s practically a convoy, and the vehicles are attracting attention. Shouldn’t this operation be secretive?’

Mike felt suspicious and got the urge to flee. However, he quickly realized they were already too close, making running unwise. Besides, he doubted he could escape.

With those thoughts in mind, he stood, arms akimbo, ready to face whatever came his way. As he watched the vehicles approaching, one of them braked and stopped. Then a group of people exited the vehicle.

To be precise, it was a group of people in professional attire. They looked like doctors, but not quite. They seemed to be members of the military, yet not exactly.

The leader was not wearing a white coat but instead a pair of glasses. His clothes were neatly pressed, too. He approached Mike, scanned him from head to toe, and politely addressed the man before him, “Mr. Corden?”

Mike nodded blankly. "Yes, that's me."

“My surname is Blanc. I can’t disclose my identity, but Alexander asked me to find you.” Dr. Blanc extended his hand and displayed a courteous demeanor.

Mike let down his guard and shook Dr. Blanc’s hand. The former asked curiously, “Has he informed you about the situation?”

"Yes." Dr. Blanc nodded. "Please believe that we’re professionals and will handle this matter properly."

"But..." Mike still had some concerns as he watched the team begin to move the sack. "There might be a hazardous virus present. Are you sure you can handle it?"

Dr. Blanc nodded and repeated, "We are professionals."

Mike hesitated momentarily. He looked at Dr. Blanc, the people around him, and the equipment stored in the vehicles. Mike could do nothing, regardless of his worries. After all, he could not take the body with him.

“Well then, thank you for your help,” he said as he turned to walk to his car.

However, someone grabbed his shoulder as he took his first step. “I’m sorry, Mr. Corden, but I’m afraid you can’t leave.”

"What?!" Mike exclaimed and turned around in surprise. "What are you planning to do?"

"You know why. You can’t leave because you're possibly carrying the virus," Dr. Blanc apologized with a smile, "You must come with us."

Mike widened his eyes. "I'm fine! I would know if I got infected! I have something important to do. I can't go with you!"

He never expected to end up getting caught in this situation alone.

Spoiled by mr. russell chapter 2049 -Lily lay on the bed for a whole day at stared at the ceiling, lost in thought. She had not experienced such peace in a long time, especially since she had always been busy. She could not afford to relax, even during her pregnancy.

However, she had no choice but to remain idle. It was the most boring experience of her life.

The doctor never returned after delivering the message to Lily that day. Lily even feared the organization had discovered and silenced him. Still, she could not do anything and knew nothing.

Alexander told her to wait, so she waited. However, she could not just keep waiting and had to seize an opportunity to do something herself. After resting and finishing her meal as usual, she stood up and started to tear down the house.

The room had tampered glass windows, and Lily could not smash them, so she smashed other things. She smashed everything she could lift and use, like the floor, walls, television, water dispenser, and surveillance cameras.

She demolished everything she could get her hands on using her extraordinary power. By the end, she was exhausted and panting as she plopped on the sofa. There was nothing left to destroy.

She even ruined the sofa, but luckily, it was still usable. Interestingly enough, no one came to stop Lily or even take a look, despite the loud noises she made from smashing things for so long.

The people from the organization were calm, not nervous or anxious. They were not afraid of Lily hurting herself or causing a commotion, which made Lily curious.

‘What kind of place is this? Is there a place in Hyderland where they can easily cover up everything?’

After sitting for a while, Lily felt slight pain in her lower abdomen. It seemed the babies inside her were not happy with her physical exertion. The two little ones were either excited or unhappy as they moved inside her belly.

Initially, she could still soothe her belly with her hand, but later, she could no longer calm her babies down. Her stomach moved increasingly violently, and the pain grew as she bent over in agony.

‘Oh no!’

Lily did not expect this pregnancy to be so different from when she birthed Galen.

Galen was exceptionally calm and never moved much. There were no signs of labor, even when his due date arrived. Lily even worried that something was wrong but later discovered Galen simply did not want to move.

However, her labor with the twins started before it was time. That familiar feeling, contractions, and pain came in waves as she wondered if she was about to give birth now.

‘Please, no!’ She inwardly prayed, telling her children not to come out yet. 'Mommy isn't ready yet. There are still things Mommy needs to do.'

Initially, she planned on finding an opportunity to meet that man after she finished smashing everything. She had a hunch he was not the mastermind but should be close to the organization’s core.

Lily knew she could only reach the real mastermind behind it all only by meeting the man with the cane. However, it seemed like she could no longer seize that chance. Her babies were about to come out first, which was not okay.

After all, the organization was waiting for Lily to give birth to put R10 into full use. Lily bit her lower lip and tried to endure the pain. Still, the pain grew stronger with each wave, causing her stomach to convulse occasionally.

Lily did not make a sound and leaned to the side of the sofa. She pressed her head against the armrest, trying to alleviate her pain.

However, her efforts seemed futile and ineffective. The fetal movements remained intense, and her lower abdomen ached. The next moment, a rush of heat appeared between her legs.

Lily was shocked.

Previously, everyone she met had always been foreigners, but local people were present during her delivery.

Lily did not expect her labor to come at such an inconvenient time. She glanced at the destroyed room, but the people tending to her did not seem surprised. It was as if they had not seen anything out of the norm.

Instead, they quickly lifted her onto the stretcher and walked toward the door.

Lily tightly clutched one side of the stretcher, gritted her teeth, and endured the pain. Then she opened her eyes and looked outside. She saw an empty corridor that was not too long.

In other words, her commotion did not attract anyone’s attention because of that. It was likely she was the only one living in this area. She looked at the corridor, with only two guards at the door. It was pretty clear what the situation was.

Not far from the corridor’s end was an elevator. Since the elevator was there, it meant the building had multiple floors. However, someone had already pressed the elevator button to go to the upper floor.

‘So, I was in the underground area?!’

Lily quickly glanced around and gathered as much information as possible. Still, she did not have time to see more. Just before reaching the elevator, someone suddenly approached and blindfolded her with a black cloth.

Lily was speechless.

‘What the hell?!’

She could not help but want to curse, but she held back and said nothing. Immediately after, someone whispered to her, “Ms. Christian, it’s best not to remove the blindfold if you want a smooth delivery without harming your child.”

“Is this how you people operate?” Lily smirked, unable to resist being sarcastic.

The other party did not get angry when faced with her mockery. Instead, the person chuckled and softly said, “I’m also doing this for your good. I hope you’ll listen to my advice.”

Afterward, the person stopped talking and ignored anything else Lily said.

Lily could only see a pitch-black void, nothing else. She did not remove the blindfold, thinking it was not the right time. She could have tried fighting to break free earlier but could not since she was in such an awkward situation and about to give birth.

She took a deep breath and figured she could not think about anything now. She could only patiently wait for the delivery to end.

‘Everything else can wait until after I give birth.’

Then Lily palmed her stomach, hoping the two little ones would behave and be born healthy. She would consider other things later.
