He was stunned. "It was you?"

At that moment, the other guards rushed over, and Lily swiftly seized Rich with her gun pointed at his head. "Don't fucking move!"

The others stopped when they saw that. Those in the room were stupefied as well.

"What are you doing?" Yasmin signed and turned her wheelchair to look at Lily.

"Your Majesty, you know I have no choice." Lily raised her brow and pressed the gun against Rick. "Get in!"

"I've never considered getting out of here alive, but…" Lily looked toward the boy lying in bed. “Please spare Nick. He's just a kid."

Yasmin sighed, puzzled as she asked, “Is it worth doing this for someone else's child?"

"You—" Stunned, Lily tightened her grip on the gun. "Do you really want me to kill you?"

"So what if I do?" Yasmin looked over her shoulder at Lily and pressed her forehead against the gun without a hint of fear. "If you want to shoot, go ahead.

Since the boy is so important to you, all the more I shouldn't let him go."

Lily was at a loss as she did not expect Yasmin to do such a thing. The former thought the queen would yield to save herself.

Lily forgot Yasmin had ruled the country for decades. If the queen would budge so quickly, she would not have stayed in power until now.

The queen then grabbed the barrel, and Rick shouted, "Your Majesty!"

"No need!" The queen stopped him. "Don't forget that he's my son. He can't stay away forever."

She let out a long sigh with a conflicted look in her eyes.

"But the woman…"

Rick disliked Lily. Although she was essential to Yasmin, she had threatened to hurt her.

"It doesn't matter." Yasmin slowly turned to look at the boy lying still in bed. She knew the two would return as long as Nick was still with them.

Ross held Lily's wrist as he rushed upstairs without taking the elevator. He then charged toward the door on the first floor.

The office workers saw them rushing out, and their immediate response was to stop them. However, when they saw one of them was the prince, they were shocked. They did not know what had happened.

One of them said, "Your Highness?” "Step aside!" Ross shouted sternly.

They quickly did so. It was already too late when the office workers received Rick's instructions to stop the duo. When Ross reached outside, he saw the guards chasing after them.

Suddenly, he pulled out a pistol and pointed at them. "Step forward if you wish to die!"

Everyone froze, including Lily, who was still in a daze. Before she could process what had happened, she found herself outside the embassy. She saw Ross standing over her protectively, wondering if he was trying to rescue her.

"Go! Hurry!" Ross exclaimed as he glanced over his shoulder at Lily.

"Don't worry about me. I'm the prince." Ross stared ahead. "I can't change the queen's mind, so this is the only thing I can do. Go! I'm sure she'll think twice about catching you once you leave the embassy.

Instead, she was determined to stop the experiment. Dominic wondered if Lily had changed her mind or if her plan had succeeded.

"It's a long story." Lily finally realized how much she had been sweating as she wiped her face with the tissues. Now that she was with Dominic, she felt exhausted and scared.

“Tell us about it when we get back.” The old man leaned forward to tell his chauffeur, “Step on it!” Although they should be safe outside, he thought it was safer to rush back to Alexander's house. After speeding through the streets, the car soon reached the house.

Everyone fell silent again because they noticed Mike looked rather upset. He could not hide the quiver in his voice as he asked, "So, Nick was still on the table after you left, and they might've proceeded with the experiment?"

No one answered because they knew his suspicions were possible.

Suddenly, Austin exclaimed, "Ross!"

Lily turned to him and asked, "What?"

"Since His Highness is still there, we can ask him if Nick is safe, right?" Austin elaborated.

Mike nodded repeatedly. "Yeah, you're right! Can you call him? I'd like to know if Nicky's still…"
