Chapter 2273

A second later, Daniel responded immediately.

“That’s impossible. I know Jon’s character better than anyone. He’s always helping his classmates. Forget hitting someone—I’ve never even seen him argue with anyone.”

The way she defended Jon sent a chill through Miranda’s eyes.

“Teacher, didn’t you just say you’d handle this fairly? Then why are you already taking his side when he’s the one who hit someone?”

Daniel’s expression stiffened.

It wasn’t favoritism—she simply couldn’t believe Jon would do something like that.

“Ms. Miranda, do you have any proof? If not, we shouldn’t wrongly accuse a child.”

Miranda had expected that.

Without hesitation, she pulled out her phone and shoved it toward her.

Daniel took it and played the video.

Her expression turned serious almost instantly.

“I didn’t expect this… Jon actually hit Felix.”

“Now that you’ve seen it, how do you plan to handle this?” Miranda pressed.

Daniel paused, thinking it through.

“I’ll have Jon apologize to Felix right away.”

“My son was bullied, and all you’re offering is an apology?” Miranda’s voice sharpened. “Looks like you’re determined to protect him.”

Daniel looked cornered.

“Then what do you want me to do?”

Miranda took a moment before answering.

“Simple. Call his mother. I want her to bring him here and apologize to my son in person.”

Lately, Cecilia had been making things difficult for her at every turn.

Now that Miranda finally had leverage, she wasn’t about to waste it.

Daniel’s expression shifted again.

“This is between the children. There’s no need to involve the parents, is there?”

Miranda frowned.

“It’s exactly because his mother didn’t raise him properly that he made this kind of mistake. If you won’t call her, I’ll post this online.”

Her tone turned cold.

“Things spread fast on the internet. When that happens, who gets dragged into it… I can’t guarantee anything.”

It was a clear threat.

Daniel had no choice.

“…Fine. I’ll call his mother.”

Only then did Miranda nod and sit down.

On the other side, Cecilia received Daniel’s call.

Thinking something had happened to Jon, she rushed to the school as fast as she could.

Nathaniel sat beside her, holding her hand.

“Don’t worry. Jon will be fine.”

“How can I not worry?” Cecilia’s voice was tight.

Ever since Jon had been hurt before, any news involving him made her chest clench.

She couldn’t stop imagining the worst.

The moment they arrived at the school, Cecilia didn’t slow down.

She went straight to Daniel’s office.

“Mr. Daniel, what happened to Jon?”

She didn’t even knock—she pushed the door open and walked in.

The first thing she saw was Miranda sitting on the sofa.

The moment Miranda noticed her, she stood up.

“Ceci, you came quickly.”

Cecilia didn’t respond.

Her gaze went straight to Daniel.

“Mr. Daniel, where’s Jon? What happened to him?”

Before Daniel could answer, Miranda stepped forward.

“Ceci, your Jon is fine. The one who got hurt is our Felix. Take a look at this.”

She held her phone out, playing the video right in front of Cecilia.

The moment Cecilia saw it, she froze.

It was footage from inside the classroom.
