“Alone?” Julian said softly. “His grandfather and his dad are both there. He’s not alone. Stop worrying so much.”

Miranda turned and punched him lightly in the chest.

“Of course you’re not worried. He’s not your son.”

The moment he heard that, Julian lifted her into his arms.

“Then have one with me.”

Carrying her, he headed toward the bedroom.

Miranda laughed and pushed at him. “I’m not having one for you.”

Adrian sat drinking one glass after another.
